Having read your draft, I have one question. Your forty volunteers — who are they?

First-year students, mostly. They're easy to recruit. You put up a poster and add the word "cookies."

That limits your claim. But how will you find out whether people outside the university solve the puzzles differently?

Yes. But first we had to check the puzzles. A friend tried an early version and finished in four minutes.

No. That was an informal test before we recruited them. We added harder puzzles for the pilot.
