  1. 01

    Ready for your voice

The microphone detects whether you are speaking.

  2. 02

    Wait while you speak

You can keep practicing while your voice continues.

  3. 03

    Allow for pauses

If your voice returns after a short pause, the end-of-speech wait starts again.

  4. 04

Confirm the end and move on

Once the model and your speech have ended, continue according to speed or repetition settings.

Very short speech may not qualify as one attempt. This does not mean your pronunciation is wrong. Detection is also affected by your device and surrounding sounds.

01

Detecting speech.

The app checks the presence and amount of speech. It does not score meaning or pronunciation accuracy.

02

Allowing for pauses.

The time allowed for you to finish adjusts to pauses in the model audio and playback speed. The model keeps playing until it finishes, even if you have already stopped speaking.

03

Adjusting the waiting time.

Change the basic end-of-speech waiting time in settings. This is separate from the “Model audio interval,” which gives you time to start after playback.
