Narrator

It's late. Frank and Tina are looking at the star map on her wall.

Frank01

That's the tiny star you showed me before, isn't it?

Tina02

That's it. You remembered.

Frank03

This map's been on this wall for three years. I've had practice.

Tina04

I still look at it when I miss home. Even after a good day here.

Frank05

What are you missing most tonight?

Tina06

Dinner with my family. Everyone talking at once. I love my life here, but I miss that.

Frank07

You can miss them and still be happy here.

Tina08

I know. I hang this map wherever I live. But some nights I need company as well.

Frank09

Would you like me to stay a bit longer?

Tina10

Please. You don't have to say anything clever. Just sit with me.

Frank11

I can do that.

Tina12

Really? No lecture on stars?

Frank13

No lecture. Let's just sit and look at the map.

WORDS & CONTEXT

Words & context

“some nights I need company as well”

Here company means companionship or someone staying nearby, even without conversation. I could use some company. in B2-60 uses the same meaning. On homesick nights, Tina wants more than her star map: she sometimes wants another person beside her.
