WORDS & CONTEXT

Words & context

“I would love to come.”

I would love to … is a warm, enthusiastic response to an invitation or suggestion. It sounds gentler than I want to … and conveys pleasure. It is usually shortened to I'd love to, but Frank avoids contractions.

“Frank.” / “...Pink.”

By saying only Frank's name, Tina implies “You know my favorite color, don't you?” Frank understands and replies ...Pink.
